Art Dubai!

Art dubai this year was was overflowing with spectacular art pieces from around the world, from 53 countries to be exact! And interestingly enough the marker this year was on latin America, including a list of artists from Brazil and Colombia, the artists included were Tijuana, Video brasil and Maria Rose Arjona

Maria’s Performance art was very interesting, it consisted of a pencil and paper, and the artist would write a word or draw something on a piece of paper, this performance art was long duration, the concept behind it was how we as humans, are affected by the places we travel to, depending on where it is, the more alienated you feel, the more absurd your reaction would be.

It was the first time for me to encounter such an artwork, it was strange at first but the whole concept behind it was quite amazing. This was also the first time The marker has ever been a Latin American theme in the UAE to my knowledge, so its great to see this much diversity in the UAE Art scene.
