The Venice Internship

The Venice Internship program is a 0ne month long program based in Venice, it provides opportunities of experience and training for Emirati and long-term residents of the UAE. This program aims to hone the skills of art practitioners of the UAE and allows them to develop their skills in this field.
The program revolves around the National Pavilion of the UAE, it gives the interns a chance to manage the pavilion therefore giving them direct experience in the art field in one of the most prestigious contemporary art exhibitions. The program starts off with an in-depth training in the UAE to help familiarize the interns with the exhibition in Venice. As the program continues in Venice the interns are assigned fieldwork tasks and a range of activities around the city.
To apply for this program there are specific criteria that should be met:
Above 21 years old
Needs to have a background in the creative fields.
Hands-on experience in the creative industries e.g. through internships, work experience, volunteering
Needs to know the UAE’s role in The Venice Biennale
Interest in the arts and creative industries in the UAE
Willing to get international experience and travel

As for the application process there are a few steps to it:
Round one: Online registration – Applicants get screened them notified if they qualify for the next round of testing.
Round two: Submission of an essay and letters of motivation.
Round three: face to face interview scheduled.
